GBH featured St. Paul’s Choir School today, the last Catholic choir school for boys in the U.S. But there’s lots to the story that didn’t quite make it into the coverage - and we'd love to expound upon it here!
Yes, the boys are singing in German—but why? Because for the second time in five months, they’ve been invited to perform with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Tanglewood Festival Chorus—an unheard-of achievement for any boy choir.
However, St. Paul’s is more than music. It’s about:
✅ Excellence—Performing at an elite level, both musically and academically.
✅ Brotherhood—A community where boys lift each other up and grow together.
✅ Formation—Shaping young men with discipline, perseverance, and character that lasts a lifetime.
The story of St. Paul’s Choir School isn’t just about history—it’s about what’s happening right now. A strong education. A transformative experience. A journey that stays with them for life.
💡 Curious to see what makes St. Paul’s so special? Read the GBH article —and then come listen to the boys’ angelic voices singing at the 11am Mass one Sunday during the school year. And if you have a boy entering grades 3 through 7 in the fall, come experience the real story for yourself by visiting the school.
