Support Levels
The Choir School Fund provides opportunities for giving and honoring those individuals instrumental in the establishment and continuance of St. Paul’s Choir School.

St. Cecilia Choir of Angels
This association of lead benefactors to The Choir School Fund will be invited to the St. Cecilia Reception hosted each year by the Pastor, Headmaster, Director of Music and Advisory Board Members in appreciation for the leadership and generosity of the ideals and mission of St. Paul’s Choir School.

The Theodore Marier Society — $10,000 and above
The Theodore Marier Society honors the founder of the Choir School and the architect of the music program at Saint Paul Parish. Members will be invited to a special dinner with the Pastor, Headmaster and Director of Music at St. Paul’s Choir School. In addition, they will receive ten complimentary tickets to the Annual Christmas and Spring Concerts and will be invited to the reception following these concerts.

The John Dunn Society — $5,000 and above
The John Dunn Society celebrates the second Music Director of the Choir School. Longtime associate of Theodore Marier, John Dunn was associated with the Choir School at its founding and served as Music Director for twenty-two years. Benefactors will be invited to a special dinner with the Pastor, Headmaster and Director of Music at St. Paul’s Choir School. In addition, they will receive eight complimentary tickets to the Annual Christmas and Spring Concerts and will be invited to the reception following the concerts.

The Richard Cardinal Cushing Society — $3,000 and above
The Richard Cardinal Cushing Society acknowledges both the blessing and financial support given by the late Cardinal Archbishop of Boston to the Choir School when it was founded. Supporters will receive six complimentary tickets to the Annual Christmas and Spring Concerts and invited to receptions following.

The Monsignor Augustine Hickey Society — $2,000 and above
Monsignor Augustine Hickey served as Pastor of Saint Paul Parish for forty years and retired in 1965. An outstanding educator and liturgist, he understood the mission of the Choir School and promoted its development in its early years. Supporters will receive four complimentary tickets to the Annual Christmas and Spring Concerts and invited to receptions following.

The Reverend Joseph Collins Society — $1,000 and above
Father Joseph Collins was associated with Saint Paul Parish for many years before becoming Pastor in 1965. An ardent liturgist and advocate of fine liturgical music, Father Collins was the catalyst who united the minds of Monsignor Hickey, Cardinal Cushing, and Theodore Marier resulting in the founding of the Choir School. Supporters will receive four complimentary tickets to the Annual Christmas and Spring Concerts and invited to receptions following.

Support designations
St. Paul’s Choir School depends on the generous support of its alumni, parents, and friends to carry out its mission and secure its future. There are many ways in which you can support the Choir School:

Annual Fund
Annual giving is a priority at the Choir School. Gifts to the annual fund help support curriculum development, the music program, faculty professional development and compensation, technology advances, and much more.

Headmaster’s Fund
The Headmaster’s Fund ensures that the unique opportunity of attending St. Paul’s Choir School can remain available to any qualified student. Gifts to the Headmaster’s Fund are designed to create needs based scholarships which can be offered to students who meet certain criteria.

Endowment Fund
The endowment fund ensures the financial viability and future of the Choir School and thereby ensures this unique educational opportunity remains available to any qualified student. A percentage of annual earnings is withdrawn each year to help meet the operating expenses of the school.

Memorial Cards
Supporters of the Choir School wishing to remember deceased friends and relatives may obtain memorial cards from the school office. Those enrolled are remembered at Saint Paul Church throughout the year. A gift to the Memorial Fund, which is part of the school’s endowment fund, is a way to offer a meaningful spiritual remembrance while helping to support the Choir School.

Planned Giving
Planned gifts allow individuals to provide for the school through a trust, annuity, insurance policy or bequest. Certain planned gifts such as a life income trust can provide financial advantages during one’s lifetime. This is an excellent way to help secure the future of the Choir School while achieving personal financial goals.
